Ladies and gentlemen, fire up those big Dutch ovens or crockpots and get ready for the second annual Chili Cookoff contest right here at Peace Lutheran during fellowship time on Sun, Oct 27! Who said Lutherans can’t be spicy? Fiddlesticks partner – we’re gonna show ‘em how it’s done. So put your apron on and start slapping together your greatest chili creation known to mankind. The congregation will vote on the best dang chili pot in the place, then the winner will be presented with the coveted and stylish Chili Award to keep for a whole year displaying in a place of prominence in their home for all to witness. YEEHAW, this contest is gonna be a belly shaker and eye popper so don’t miss out. Cornbread is also welcome!

Disclaimer for the Chili Masters: On the morning of the event, slip your beloved chili pot to a waiting fellowship person who will put it on a table for you then go get comfortable in the sanctuary for worship. Please do not identify your pot with your name but DO make a creative sign for your chili (ex: Barn Burner, Grateful Red, etc.) preferably with a Reformation theme. Volunteers will be serving your chili during the tasting event cause we ain’t having no bias ‘round here! No tellin’ anybody or pointin’ out your pot! We aim to run a good, clean contest! Best of luck to all & please use the sign-in so we know what to expect – your awesome chili or cornbread (no name; X marks the spot pardner!).
